I think the Chargers could have both the offensive and the defensive rookies of the year.
Plus, the Chargers won it last year with Herbert, so I think they are going to look for reasons not to give it to the Chargers again, and the fact he's an OL, it makes him a long-long shot. I think Ja'Marr Chase, Joe Burrow's new WR in Cincy, will win it, unless he has a big drop off or is injured. Here are the top rookie rankings. Slater and Samuel are both on the list, but KC's two rookie OL are ranked above Slater.

He basically completely eliminated him. Textbook technique.

Sidenote but Norton got complete demolished with a simple bulrush and almost gets Herbert whacked. Chargers are playing with fire by not having a TE or RB constantly help him imo. One bad hit or sack can knock out Herbert for games or whole season and too late at that point.
Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:

              - 69-74 record
              - 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
              - Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
              - 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
              - 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
              - Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
              - Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

How are we gonna pay Herbert, Slater and Samuel in a few years? Should we start a collection now?

New cheaper young drafted players that will replace Slayer, Linsley, Bulaga, Joseph, CHJR, MikeDub after his forthcoming extension, and we won’t be able to pay all of our tier 2 players.
Draft, coach, develop must continue to be the mantra.
Cap $ can be pushed off for 3-6 years easily to keep our young core players together for the next decade.

Thats were your GM/Coaching comes into play. Gotta hit on drafts consistently to replenish the ranks.

Bolts should be shopping for a RT in his last year...offer a draft pick...
