Williams doesn’t have great top end speed either. I’m enjoying watching his body control, that’s definitely something that helps you win in the tight contested windows of the NFL.

Plus hands and an NFL frame. He’s got a shot. But he was definitely a surprise. Definite special teamer.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

The very poor QB play hurt his evaluation. I had him as a late 4th.
Josh has the skillset to thrive outside or inside.
I think we’ll all like what we see when taking another look at his tape.
I think someone posted how this kid against NFL drafted CBs was killing it...and with an average QB? Kudos to the scouts on this one.

Feels like Staley got the first two picks and then they let TT have his way.Not a good use of our 3rd rd. pick.:wtfrudoing:

We got Hill in the 7th when everyone thought he would go earlier. So maybe this will be the opposite? Regardless, I’ll root for the guy even if I would have gone in a different direction.

More Brugler quick thoughts on the pick:
                  77. Los Angeles Chargers: Josh Palmer, WR, Tennessee

While it is a little surprising to see Palmer off the board ahead of receivers like Dyami Brown and others, he is a quality player. While his speed is only average, he finds ways to stack defenders to be a vertical threat. He is also one of the tougher receivers in this class and his lack of production is a result of Tennessee’s poor passing attack.

I know nothing about WR technique but he shows a lot of snap that's not in his game film. Maybe QB only threw fades so he could only miss OOB. May be a gem.

This pick reveals I think the kind of offense they are designing for Herbert. They're going to play a lot of long ball, and they want a receiver with great hands who can win on deep throws, who has excellent tracking ability. They rebuilt the OL to protect Herbert on deep drops. Not a surprise really, it's Herbert's strength. But it feels like they have a definite plan for the offense and Palmer fits.
