I think he takes Virgil Green’s slot not Nabors’. With Cook and Parham below average blockers you want both for short yardage packages, their athleticism will keep teams guessing too.
I'm thinking like the other guys: he's nabbing Nabors spot.

Don’t see us married to either Nabors or Green so I wouldn’t be shocked to see them both gone.
McKitty will be tried at every imaginable way with the hope that he replaces as many positions as possible

I confess first I only watched highlight videos too. But I also only watched highlight videos of Tremble, and to my eye Tremble looked slower, less fluid or athletic, and a worse pass catcher. i didn’t see significant difference in blocking ability but McKitty’s reel doesn’t have all that much blocking in it. The Domer looked stiff, rigid to me, I had a bad shiver of remembering Hester when I see him play. Works great against college players but doesn’t have any unique abilities that will excel at the next level.
i don’t know Mr Kitty yet but if TT and Staley think he’s a better choice, I’ll follow their lead and plan for him to contribute this year. We do have the one year rental at TE so if he can work out of H/F spot and add a dimension, might be interesting to see.“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

He is a willing moderately physical blocker in both phases while needed technique work.
Watch his Sophomore and Junior years at FSU. Taggart’s offensive scheme doesn’t predominantly feature the TE but in limited opportunities he made an impact. My 2021 Adopt-A-Bolt List
