Another smart kid who's already somewhat familiar with Chargers due to Gabe Nabors.

Does seem a bit hypocritical, doesn't it?
When, not if, Bulaga goes down, our O line is paper thin. JH can have as many shiny toys as TT wants to bring in, but it won't matter if he's running for his life.

I felt similarly. I would have liked to have seen more beef acquired within those 3rd rounds, on either side of the line. It might not be so bad. After considering the possibility that he was drafted in case MW wants too much money or is traded, and the fact that he looks like he could be pretty damn good, or better yet, could be outstanding and yet another weapon in the WR group. As far as McKitty, why they took him in the third, i just have to assume it must have been based on something they know, that we don't. But what I do know is, that we really NEEDED a TE who can block, and as someone else already pointed out, in a way, it kind of is adding to the line, since TE is essentially an extra lineman who can also run and catch. Doesn't help us, obviously, if Bulaga, or somebody gets injured.

Guess we'll have to see how it goes. Super excited about the first two picks. Hopefully tomorrow will be good for a thrill or two.

Mckitty could be a solid pick, unfortunately came about 100 picks too soon.

              McKitty’s nickname should be “Sniff”.

              Good ol’ Sniff McKitty.
              Hahaha!

That one was pretty good, but to me, it didn't quite have the right ring to it. At first, all I could think of was "Chases", "Pounds", "Shaves", "Lix", "Chapps", and "Slaps"...but then I came up with the perfect nickname for him, it was so obvious.....:rimshot:

              "Fingers"!

... and the dude has big hands, so y'know,...if it fits...LOL.

He's a blocking tight End that might actually help on the oline in many blocking situations. If he's actually good at it and can catch the occasional pass he might be worth his weight in gold in our scheme. They probably drafted him a round early but they couldn't afford to go into the season without him. So in this case it really doesn't matter where he's picked. We just need him or someone like him. So there I've said my piece.

If you listen to the pressers after day two, it really appears as though Brandon Staley really pushed for this pick to complete the offense he wants to run.

I'm never going to argue against taking a TE. I'm just biased that way. I'd probably play 3 every down. LoL! The league has gone to primary pass catching TEs, who are just really big WRs for match up problems. McKitty is closer to an old school TE, which I love. A TE who can both block & catch puts the Defense on their heels a little bit. To me, a flexed out TE means 90% pass so send the dogs. I understand the game isn't ever probably going to revert to the style of my days, but this is style is perfect for 3rd & mid range.

All of that being said, Bosa needs some fucking Help! Ingram & comp provided None last season.

                        give him a chance folks

last season nobody was touting Johnson/Guyton/Parham before we saw them play.

This seems like a "Virgil Green" replacement pick.
