Jaimes is an effective zone blocker with good quickness and foot speed. He's tough to shake when he gets his inside, but he needs to play with better body control, and he gives too much ground at times in pass pro. -- Steve Muench
Brenden Jaimes played left tackle at Nebraska and displayed adequate athleticism with regard to his quickness and body control. In the run game, he is strong and stout at the point of attack. He does a good job of getting his feet in the neutral zone and getting vertical movement. He also shows adequate athleticism in his pass set. He has enough agility to suffice on the edge at the collegiate level. As a result, I believe he could maximize his potential at guard or even suffice at right tackle in the NFL.
why pass on safety like Hamsah from FSU or James from Indiana
I like those guys too....but all it takes is for Staley to believe he can salvage Adderley, and think him better than either of those 5th rounders, and they become redundant. We really needed oline depth.
