Don't think he makes the roster.

People keep talking about these offensive selections in regards to Herbert but I really see a trend towards wanting to be a much better running team. WR and TE both some of the better run blockers for their positions in this draft, 2 OL, now a RB that is likely to be active on game day due to his ST ability. Running the ball to set up play action gonna be a huge part of this offense, something Herbert did really well with.

Don't think he makes the roster.
        He is not explosive athlete.

LR3 is smart, savvy runner with excellent vision. He takes great angles, stop/start hesitation, “feels” where the hole will be, excellent in passpro, good hands/routes (no QB play last 2 years), and he BREAKS TACKLES!

He’ll make the roster and contribute.
Watch him light someone up during the PS on ST.

Sounds similar to Kelly- not fast or agile but picks up the holes in the line quick and HAMMERS through. Great motor.
If he can prove his use on Teams, got a chance to stick around.
I would expect the team to bring in a few UDFA RB's to compete with he and Jackson.
          Best camp wins the spot.

IMO, He better excel on special teams or he won't make the team.

Frankly I think "breaking tackles" is over rated
when you consider the risk of fumbling or secondary tackles that could be dangerous
Unless you're a special back, get the damn yards and get out of bounds/go down and hold on to the ball
how many times do we see defenders strip balls because a hero rb is fighting for that extra yard?
                  No gracias

                    ST and short yardage back.

Given the number of 3rd and 1 situations where our RB gained 0.5, a tackle break here n there might be useful. Better yet is have that much improved OL give the RB a yard head start before he gets hit.

Im not holding my breath but will wait and see. I’ll bet a couple UDFAs yet to be seen have the same chance he has to make the roster.

Chuck Muncie reminds me of that. Whenever he first got hit you really worried about him dropping the ball on the ground after a second hit. Otherwise I loved watching him run with the ball.

In fairness, Chuck was high as a kite.
