Did I mention i think Gus’s defensive scheme sucks ass and it only “worked” in Seattle because Pete C & Co fortuitously drafted / collected one of the greatest squads of defensive talent in the last 50 yrs? I cannot wait to see him ruin LVR, i hope he can hang on for even 3 years there.
Hopefully Mayock is the fall guy for not drafting better talent and Gus gets a pass for a couple more years.

Well, in fairness he’s made a good number of bad draft picks in his short stint. Was it him, was it Gruden, … beats me. But that team hasn’t gotten better. I predict Leather-dude is a lousy over-reach who maybe someday can play RT if they are lucky. Dude has feet like Fluker, i think.

There's plenty of blame to go around in Raiderville between Gus, Chuckie, Mikey and Markie...and two of those aren't going anywhere in the near future...

Maybe the Raiders will banish Leatherneck to OG like the did with Robert Gallery, another supposed OT who epic failed...

Remember Gruden couldn’t fire McKenzie right away so he hire his own scouts in addition to the ones that the front office had. They actually had two sets of scouts for a while. Then he fired McKenzie as soon as he could. Gruden is controlling the draft. Mayock is doing what he is told. I always liked Mayock as a tv analyst.

                OK. Thus is advanced stuff.
So advanced that StaleyD's name for this defense is redacted.

Only two players with their hands in the dirt.
                Inside and outside blitzes.
                Five man rush.
                What disguising !!

The hot read is shallow over the middle, and the defense blankets that ("Middle Fire Zone").

We are talking sackage, and Joey's got his nose right in the thick of it.

Study this to get a sniff of some of StaleyD's diabolical plans.
Learn beforehand exactly how we will succeed at playing defense in '21 and beyond.

Plays like this are in the upper Stratosphere of disguise and design, compared to the same, sorry, stale stuff Gus was running...

I don't have any real info on this, but isn't Owner Mark Davis wacky like his dad? If so the franchise's flaws may very well reside in the very bone marrow of SilverNBlack.

I never thought of Al Davis as wacky. He was sly like fox. He found many ways to cheat, coached his players to play dirty and would do pretty much anything to win. A big difference between Al and Mark that Al's raiders were winners, so far that's not true of Mark. Al Davis was hated by just about everyone that wasn't a raider or a fan of theirs.
