Anyone still want him coaching the Chargers?Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:
- 69-74 record
- 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
- Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
- 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
- 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
- Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
- Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

This story is a bit confusing, because it doesn't really explain the headline, it just states that Staley canceled an interview with the Eagles, apparently after he had already accepted the Chargers job.
Report: Howie Roseman was “Significant Reason” why Brandon Staley Canceled Eagles Interview
At the Philadelphia Inquirer, Jeff McLane wrote a Monday column titled “What we learned from Eagles-Raiders: Howie Roseman shouldn’t escape culpability.” Thrown into the column was a nugget that I don’t believe I’ve seen reported elsewhere, involving first-year Chargers head coach Brandon Staley: It starts at the top with owner Jeffrey Lurie, of course. The Chargers have become boring. I kind of hesitate to write this, but I am beginning to question Staley's creds as some sort of a wunderkind. Is this team better than it was at the end of last season? That team won four consecutive games to close out the season and Herbert was on fire. The Chargers are not going to grow a fan base in Los Angeles playing this kind of football. I'm more disappointed than anything. The team is underperforming, and that falls on coaching.
