How do you feel about Merriman now?

I'm honestly surprised that he has remained loyal to the city of San Diego and it's fans, and he seems to be a fan of the Chargers.

He was one of those brightly lit flames that burned out too soon, but for a couple seasons he was the best past rusher we may ever have had.

    I like it.

When he was on roids he looked like the best pass rusher ever.

I think he's a good guy, probably too much to handle for AJ Smith. I know some people didn't like the self-promotion, and that he did roids, but sometimes the 'tude is needed on the team to spark others.

        Fuck the Titans.
        Prediction:
        Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

          Still a fan.

Shame his career was derailed so soon.

Always gave it everything he had. We don't have anyone with his attitude on the current defense and it's a huge problem.

Merriman was never was he seemed to be, i.e., the REAL Merriman didn't last very long. He eventually got what was coming to him (faded into obscurity) but he was a master at selling himself.

Gotta respect him for getting behind the stadium efforts here.

Ive never had an issue with Merriman. He is still young at 30 and could be playing. I wish he never had the knee injury and was still here.

Do people here REALLY think it was the knee injury that derailed his career? Amazing how only 2 of us have mentioned the 'roids. The guy was a fake, pure and simple. Not what he appeared to be. Knee injury or no knee injury.

I agree with Smokey here.....most of his success and $$$$ came from his using and abusing roids......it drove his draft value through the roof, he probably could have been an above avg. 4-3 DE in the NFL for a long time without the Roids

I always wonder what happened to have Parcells promise Merriman he would draft him if he was available when the Cowboys picked only to go with Ware.....Inthink someone tipped him off
