Maybe Prime’s telling the kid that he’ll be coaching the Noles in a year anyway, and that he’ll take him along and plug him as CB1.
I might also be applying my own sons situation onto this as well. I sort of view it from a more parental aspect i guess. Quite simply my son chose the wrong college. Had 3 scholarships. Chose the one with the least experienced coaching staff. And i think it hurt his career.

Good point...look how having all that coaching turnover hurt Herbie's draft stock...had he had a solid coach in place all 4 years, same system, playbook, etc., possible Herbie goes #1 or #2 overall in draft...

Keep pouring the money into the O Line, fill in with rookie contract low round picks getting the job done with Ekeler at RB.
Same theory applies to me with the receivers and Keenan Allen.

Deion Sanders swipes nations top recruit, Travis Hunter, from Florida State

Deion Sanders promised a big surprise, and he appears to have delivered.

Travis Hunter, a running back/cornerback and the top-ranked recruit in the country according to Rivals, was previously committed to Sanders' alma mater, Florida State. However, Hunter has flipped his commitment to Jackson State, the Mississippi HBCU where Sanders is head coach.

The speculation that something wild could be up began Tuesday night when Sanders appeared on Barstool Sports' "Unnecessary Roughness" show. It's official. Travis Hunter, the nation's top overall CFB recruit, will be heading to Jackson State.

"Let me tell you guys this, Sanders said. "Signing Day is (Wednesday). I'm going on record to tell you guys we're gonna shock the country. I'm telling you right now. You heard it from me. We re gonna shock the country."

Luring the top recruit in the country certainly qualifies as a shock.

Buzz had been picking up throughout Wednesday morning. The live Signing Day show on 247 the college sports site that CBS acquired in 2015 reported that Hunter had scrubbed his social media pages of references to Florida State. They said that one source in Georgia, where Hunter is from, predicted Sanders had flipped him to Jackson State.

We could write some lyrics about this -
He's going to Jackson, and that's a natural fact
Yes he's going to Jackson cause thats where Deions at.
          THE YEAR OF THE FLIP!

            Yep...let's add:

They say swipin' Hunter is a major crime
Hunter says "nope...I'm ready for Prime Time!"

                  Needs:
                  Sure tacklers.
                  WRs with strong hands.

How about a different defensive scheme? Whatever we are running isn't doing us any favors at all. It works against crappy QBs or occasionally against a good QB having an off day but it is not sustainable against a patient QB and somehow even with winning the time of possession battles our defense is completely gassed in crunch time.

You mean the defensive scheme that was #1 in the NFL last year?

It’s not the scheme, it’s the personnel.

With the Chargers, Staley adopted Gus Bradley’s 4-3, single high zone personnel. A lot of pieces don’t fit. With the Rams, he adopted Wade Philips’ 3-4 personnel, a much easier transference.

This off-season, Staley will hand pick the right pieces from FA and the draft. He’s building something. It takes time. Have patience.
Our quarterback is a golden god.

                        Needs:

Defensive Playmaker - ok when Derwin in the game, take him out and exposes weaknesses

Speed - secondary & wide receiver

Trenches - run plugging DT and road grading RT

Telesco focused on OLine last year - this offseason - really has to be the defense. Pipkins playing like he did last night would be a great bonus if you can slide him in at RT. That would help a lot. And that doesn't mean the Oline doesn't need to be hit in the mid Rounds

But defense defense defense. IDL, Edge, CB and more DB help
