Lindy's 2021 Pro Football Review: LAC #5 in Trenches & Other Rankings

FYI Lindy’s Pro football 2021 Preview hit the stands this week in all it's glory. In their AFCW division rankings, KC is #1 by a large margin and we finish in #3 just below DEN. I think this is reasonbale, DEN's D is loaded at all levels and was ranked #3 overall. Bradley Chubb, Von Miller, Justin Simmons and they brought in CB's Kyle Fuller and Ronald Darby in FA.

One section ranks the best in the league for units and positions. As per the title, we fared very well for the trenches (OL and DL) overall ranking. Corey Linsley was the #1 C in the league.

Other areas showed some more work to do - no DT, LB, CB or OG made the list. Was surprised at the Linval Joseph snub.

Anyway, interesting and pretty reasonable. Here are all the rankings.

Offense

QB (On the move) #9 Justin Herbert
WR #1 WR: Keenan Allen #8
WR #2: Mike Williams #14
TE: Jared Cook #15
RB#1: Austin Ekeler #15
RB#2: Justin Jackson #9
C: Corey Linsley #1

DE 4-3: Joey Bosa #3
Defensive Line: #4 AFC
SS: Derwin James #2 (Had him as a FS actually)

I wonder if 2020 was a fluke for Bulaga. Thats my top worry for the entire team. They won’t collapse without him, unlike last year, but it would be nice if he earned even half of his contract.

Assuming Aboushi wins RG, it'll only help Bulaga to have a vet next to him bring stability compared to the revolving door we had last year with whatshisface and whatstheirface

It doesn't matter how good the rest of your roster is if your QB sucks. Drew Lock sucks. Unless DEN got Rodgers when I was asleep they're still a 5 win team with a crappy QB.

Sam Tevi is the starting LT now for IND on the Lindy's depth chart lol. Temporary though as Eric Fischer is coming back from surgery

Even though he got “Turnstyle”d on most games, he was our most durable and consistent OL last year. I remember when he missed one game and the OL turned into shambles.
