I think they have since altered the CBA to be more lenient on weed violations. But it wasn't like Houston beat up his girlfriend or something which would have been a huge red flag.

I wanted us to draft Houston in the first round that year. 3rd round was a ridiculous steal and when our turn came around in round 2, I was hoping he would be the pick.

Just tested possitive for weed at the combine. Didnt have other off field issues and to me, that isnt really an issue either.

Well, it did matter to NFL GMs at the time, hence him sliding to the third round so dirty Andy could draft him.

Bosa had a weed related issue I think when he was a freshman, so times have changed.

I would love for Ingram to be retained only if he is healthy and in great playing shape. Last year, he didn't enter the season with his usual playing shape. He had put on quite a bit of weight which could have led to his injury. But when he is health and in playing shape, he is a beast as we all know. Staley's defense set up perfectly for Ingram. It means Ingram first before considering at Huston. Telesco has to make a decision very soon before they are both gone.

Some how I could see AJ Smith looking at weed violation is a major red flag while beating up the girlfriend is just boys being boys.
