Goldwire had a TFL today. Didn’t hear much about any other UDFA

      Austin Proehl.

A waiver guy (not an UDFA) but I’m hearing big things about this kid making the roster over the likes of Reed and Hill. Dude’s taking all the 1st reps as both PR and KR and contributing everyday as a WR.

Semi-related: I remember when we grabbed Wes Welker as an UDFA. I begged a certain someone in the Chargers organization to keep the guy—Welker was killing it in camp and pre-season games. We let him go and the rest is history.

Just saying that this Proehl kid is showing up and he’s giving me Welker vibes.

        I can see it happening.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

He is getting plenty of positive press during the early days of camp.

Goldwire has height and athleticism, lacks strength. I can see him stashed on the PS for a year. You can't teach height and athleticism.

Whatever experiment they were running with Joe Reed? It's apparently over. As I understand it, he's not even being auditioned as a KR.

Reed and Hill haven't shown much...yep...if Proehl keeps balling, do NOT try to pull a "stash Welker on the PS" schtick...

He doesn’t appear to be carving out a spot for himself in any phase of the game.

I see reed as some type of catching running back. Good hands and evasive YAC. Third down receiving back? I don't see him as a receiver in the NFL.

Well, he has to show Staley can do that consistently. Is he just a great athlete with no position?

Ogbongbemiga’s still the favorite as this year's UDFA keeper. He’ll need to prove it on ST, but he seems like the type of player than make a contribution.
