    Joe Lombardi

Called a hell of a game today. We are underestimating just how good the WFT D will be.

Should have had 30+ points but we'll take the W.

My wife said on the final drive that the team last year would of ran the ball three straight times. He called a great game against one of the better defenses in the NFL. Herbie played great minus that one pick. I expect a letter from the league stating they screwed up that fumble call and it should of been reversed. O-line did a great job against their d-line. It was nice seeing KJ Hill with some great catches at the end of the game. Receivers had too many drops today. Just shocking Bugala is hurt. TT needs to go tackle again in the first round of the draft next year.

He called plays to win the game, not to try and not lose it like Lynn’s staff did last year. How refreshing!

A lot of NFL people are bagging on Joe Lombardi,
because of his bad stint at DET.

IDK, Joe was excellent today...him n Herb.

Yep, not the 3 runs in a row with 5 minutes to go.

May not have been a good mix between him and Caldwell.

I think he and Staley and Day are all on the same page.

You're right about the play-calling. The o-line play was refreshing too.

I thought it was an EXCELLENTLY-called game. no turtling up with 5 minutes left. And Justin was just simply AWESOME! That kid threw SOOOOO MANY dimes! Even the pick wasnt a terrible toss. And he woulda ended up with quite a bit better stat line had his WRs didnt have the case of dropsies. I'm even MORE excited about Herbert after seeing this game. Kid was SOOOO on target!

A bad call on the fumble and a couple of Bosa penalties and this is a blowout. I agree I thought the offense looked great and it sure looks like we have a LT.

Herbert is the real deal and love that he really doesn’t get rattled. A couple of lasers on that last drive with aggressive play calls and it was over.

Working with Payton will pay off. And Brees. That OL and run/screen game in NO has been insane over the years. Didnt really even see that today with Ekeler being banged up. Nice change of plans by Lombardi. Ekeler on screens could easily make his injury worse with DBs taking out his legs. 1 screen today? That wont last.

WFT wasn't really blitzing either. They were getting their rush with 4, sometimes 5.

Wft next to me kept saying “they arent even touching Herbert….anyone could pick us apart without any pressure”. Thats how good our OL did…good plays and great protection. I dont expect more pressure from big D next week. We have a better idea how to beat them with the Tampa tape.
