      Agree.

More than other qbs, Wilson is most dangerous when defenses are tiring.
I think the Charger D is best positioned in the AFC west to go up against Wilson.

Id say he is better than who they currently have as a backup QB.Mullins and Stidham are garbage. Though Kap has been out of the league for a while.

I have immense respect for Wilson. He makes the Donks far more dangerous.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I think Staley built this defense specifically combat Mahomes and Wilson. Those guys aren't the same QB, but they have a lot of similarities. The most critical one being the damage they do outside the pocket. The focus will be on forcing them to make plays inside the pocket. That's why the IDL is so critical. Can't let either one leak out - the dline have to stay in their lanes and methodically crush the pocket in on them.

I don't buy this whole thing about not letting "Russ Cook". Wilson has the same problems people say about Mahomes; running around like a madman hoping to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

To clarify, both those heat maps are Russell Wilson. He throws in the middle way less than the league.

Mahommes is at least better at getting rid of the ball and not taking sacks. Wilson (and Joe Burrow for that matter) cost their teams a lot of field position from all the sacks they take. They also leave a lot of "boring" yards on the feild, because they are constantly looking for the big play, at the expense of just moving the sticks and living to play another down.

That was the exact opposite of the TPB mantra this off-season … I can still hear the ringing echo in the hills …

Yep, Wilson has done that his entire career. I dont think Burrow is as bad at it and has only started 25 games. Wilson still does it as a 9-10 year vet.

Well at some point we will need to score more points than the other guys, and it often does require just that. Be great to do it better than at a 9-8 clip.
