It is right to second guess TT about Bulaga.
    Just consider all factors.
And do not forget about King Dunlap when adding it all up.
Penning, the ninja Special might be ours.
An expensive UFA ORT might want to come play with Herbert.
    Gut it out in 2021.

      Yep...like that idea...draft a RT, AND sign a Feiler-quality FA OT...

And without Melvin Gordon holding out we don't get Herbert.

So really, this is the best of all possible worlds. Or something. Where's my garden?

And while we're giving credit here, let's honor Coach Lynn for his laudable work making all those bad calls that lost us games and put us in a position to draft Slater...

But he figured it would be him, never expected after such sacrifices, winning last four in a row then positioning in draft for Slater and Asante he was golden, but now he’s in Detroit-:hadworse:

                  10) Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa (6-7, 321)
                  Previous rank: Not ranked
The Panthers couldn't quite get the win on the road against Iowa State to start the season, but Penning verified himself worthy of an early-round selection. His widely anticipated matchup against edge rusher Will McDonald IV was one-sided, as the tackle dominated the lean pass rusher. Penning also finished blocks regularly and cleaned up piles, displaying the nasty attitude offensive line coaches love. His performance last week in UNI's win over Sacramento State was interesting; he usually threw his man to the ground or ended up on the ground himself after lunging to his man or tripping over someone's feet. NFL coaches will want him to play a bit more under control.

Which potential future NFL stars are on the rise after a wild first couple weeks of the college football season? Chad Reuter updates his ranking of the top 25 senior prospects for next year's draft.

We’ll need him to drop to 32 to get him

Who knows maybe we even see some development of Norton or Schoefield to fill the RT slot this year….yah I can dream!

i kind of think our #1 may go to the DL or another CB (Harris is getting up there). To me the DL is still not our strongpoint. Another edge guy or a mean stout dude in the middle.

While I wouldn’t spend a first rounder on a running back, I would be ok with spending a second or third rounder on one in 2022 or 2023. I’m not knocking Ekeler at all, but he’s 26 and most running backs are finished by the time they’re 30. Furthermore, he’s a smaller back so I wouldn’t mind a more physical back. If we had that, I think that extends his career.

As to which player to take in which round, I think the key is to know your needs but to take the best player available with something of a consideration of your needs in mind.
