Film Study: The Good, The Bad and The Great (week3 vs KC)

G'day again fellow diehards. This week at Arrowhead we saw a big upset of the defending AFC champs by our Chargers. Such a glorious feeling and fun game to study

    The Good
    1st Quarter 3:02 clock, 2nd and 11 ball on 22yrd line.
Tevaughn Campbell forces the fumble on Tyreek Hill. What i love about this play is even though Hill makes the catch Campbell doesnt give up and is looking to make plays on the football. Its these little efforts turn into big plays that change games.

I added the better camera angle

    The Bad
4th quarter 4:02 clock, 2nd and goal ball on 11yrd line.
Slater get beat. Norton gets beat. Aboushi gets beat all 1on 1 matchups. This forces Herbert to step up into the pocket and run. He then makes the bad decision to keept he ball instead of dump off the Ekeler and slides taking an unnecessary hit.

    The Great
    4th quarter 13:44 clock. 1st and 10 ball on 19yrd line.
MDub makes a sweet shake move and Herbert throws a perfect pass. Watch Herbert eyes keep the safety in the middle of the field. Truly a great play

    Honorable mentions:

    Hon1
Kyzir White bumps Kelce and then pressure Mahommes giving him no time to make a play

    Hon2
Adderly puts a big hit on Edwards-Helaire preventing him from scoring. Look at Kelce on the play :woot:

    As always luv ya

White and James were in the same gap which forced Adderley to make the play. Looks like White tried to run around a gave up the cut back.

You can see K9 getting lost in the shuffle

You're right. He takes himself out of the play too on the back side. Runs right into a butt. No idea what he was thinking. If he was supposed to be covering the boot he wasn't even close to in position.

            Need some Tranq in there.

I agree. Tranq can smell that play from a mile away.

One of the few times I've seen Slater get beat, though he at least steered his man outside to allow Herbie to step into the pocket, then the scramble. Good stuff, Chillies, keep 'em coming!

BTW, Adderley moved ALL the way up from the deep, opposite side of the field, just in case Mahomes got loose...love the dude's hustle...
