Coaches have been spoiled by these kickers making 50+ yarders and now they play for it. McCarthy did the same thing against us and it worked. Justin Tucker is practically automatic but a 56 yarder in the rain? They’d been converting from that distance consistently with the dump offs. Very surprising. Even if he made it Brady would have had 50+ seconds

It reminded me of Lynn not giving Herbert and the offense an opportunity to convert on 4th and very short in OT in Herbert's first game. He decided to give the ball over to Mahomes with only a field goal needed. And the predictable happened. But Lynn played scared and didn't pay attention to the analytics, I would expect Belichick to know better.
