Watching and rewatching the fourth down play to Cook over Perryman….Perryman had EXCELLENT coverage. He was right there and his arm is in between Cook’s arms. It was just an absolutely perfect pass and an absolutely perfect catch. And the size mismatch contributed. But I don’t think Perryman could have covered it better. Herbert and Cook were just too good for it. He played a great game.

Joey Bosa sounded off on the officiating in the Chargers' Week 4 win over the Raiders, and Chris Simms and Mike Florio discuss how justified his comments wer...
Chris Simms, and to some extent Mike Florio, agree with Bosa on the poor officiating, especially on not calling holding calls on OL. The league is skewed toward the offense, and officials let offensive players get away with penalties. From that perspective, it's tough to be a defender in the league right now, especially an edge defender, I think, where they are so determined to protect the QB they let OL get away with egregious holding penalties.

This is low-tech, but it's an interesting analysis of how Staley uses the blitz and how it disrupted the Raiders offense the entire game.. He credits Tillery for blowing up the Raiders OL and freeing up Covington to sack Carr on that play. He also notes the Chargers' D is third in the league in QB pressure rate and that's better than Cleveland's D.
