For those of you who watched the Chargers in the 70s-80s like me, this youtube was a really fun stroll down memory lane.
For those too young to have watched, please take a look at Dan Fouts and how he played against heavy pressure, at Winslow in his prime and at Chuck Muncie, who died too young and was one of my favorites. Cosell once called him a hoss. Also, if all you know about Terry Bradshaw is the old, fat version, here you get to see him play, even if it was near the end of his career. And it being Veteran's Day, nice to see Rocky Bleier who had half his leg and foot blown off by a land mine in VietNam and came back to play and play well when many said he would not even walk. His story is a great book...."Fighting Back" and I commend it to your reading.
If you never had the pleasure of watching Coryell on the sidelines, here is your chance. He was famous for looking constipated, you'll see what I mean. And also he really always seem disaffected to me during games. Doesn't talk to anyone, no headset, no play cards. But that was how it was in those days.
Also Glen Edwards had a lot of cheap shots, some of which got called. Irony is, he was acquired in a trade from the Steelers.
Hope you enjoy! To all our Vets, thank you for your service.
