Miami just had the best screen pass to an OLG in history.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I remember Jackson being helpless against the blitz in his final game at Louisville.

Wonder why they don't do it more often against him....from a lot of weird angles.

A pair of twins is 4 girls. That's 8 brass knockers.

The great teams thing was making the AFC very boring and got stale. It's a good thing there's parity now. It got tiring to watch the same teams make it to the Super Bowl to represent the AFC every year. Lets hope the conference keeps going like this. It's much better this way.

That was a nice awareness when he extended his arm to cross the goal line.

Its an interesting conference. It makes that Patriots game loom even larger as its an AFC loss. And after Minnesota, there are games against Pittsburgh, Cincy and the Broncos - so AFC games that could decide the tiebreakers since so many teams are bunch

(first things first, take care of the Vikings)

I'm thinking Cleveland, if they ever regain their health, will be the favorites.

The opportunity is there for the Chargers: i sure wish they went out and tried to upgrade with 1 - 2 vets more.

Agreed. Thought they’d try something like that but didn’t.

I think teams are more worried about if the blitz doesn't get there with Lamar - now you have him outside the pocket, running around with an odd number of defenders to tackle him. So the DCs pick the more conservative play - hope to keep him in the pocket.

Granted, with most QBs - I prefer to speed up their process of throwing the ball - meaning, rush a lot so they have less time to make a decision; maybe have to throw early before the receiver has finished the pass pattern.

This past Sunday, the Chargers got Hurts and the Iggles in a 2nd and 16 - Staley rushed 4; the Iggles had 7 protecting Hurts. , Davonta Smith was almost double covered but Hurts had time to throw, a very nice pass too - and Smith moved the chains. Granted, I am not sure if blitzing Hurts that play would have produced an incomplete pass or sack - but would have preferred at that point to bring the heat in what seemed like an obvious passing down.
