Have you forgotten the last two times the team played at Denver? They had late game flukes on them by the Broncos.

By the way, how do you like Drew Locks dancing?

On their current 2022 ledger, they have seven players with cap hits of at least $11 million, but only one (Patrick) between $4.8 million and $11 million; only left tackle Garett Bolles ($21 million) is over $20 million.

Paton’s plan crystallizes with each of his big roster moves. This 2022 team is going to rely on initial-contract players.

As many as 12 starters, all three specialists and two key reserves next year will have cap hits of less than $4.8 million.

Upcoming free agents include quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, cornerback Bryce Callahan and inside linebackers Josey Jewell, Alexander Johnson and Kenny Young. Outside linebacker Malik Reed is a restricted free agent.

Does Paton choose Jewell over Johnson (or vice versa)? Does he extend outside linebacker Bradley Chubb instead of paying him a fifth-year option of $12.716 million? Does he use some of his five draft picks in rounds 1-3 to acquire a coveted quarterback?

That Paton can have these conversations after signing two players to contracts totaling more than $53 million shows the Broncos are in good shape.

“I always talk about flexibility,” Paton said. “We do have a lot of it moving forward and we locked up two of our primary free agents.”

Perryman was very good when healthy but had some issues staying healthy so we replaced him with someone who is mediocre when healthy and can’t seem to stay healthy

Will Gordon fumble? On the goal line? With the candlestick?

Homework for our defense = watch film on all Gordon career 20 fumbles and how 15 were recovered by the defense.

Rewatched Broncos-Eagles game. My Pretty Ponies were 1-for-11 on third down conversions and scored 3 points the entire second half. Meanwhile, the Chargers third down efficiency is currently better than that of last year's Super Bowl champion Bucs.

I don't want to hate on Melvin Gordon because the guy had some really good seasons for the Chargers; his 47 TDs are 5th most in franchise history. So I want to respect that. That said, I want to point out that Gordon did fumble last week against the Eagles, and Darius Slay took the ball 82 yds the other way for six. That play deflated the Broncos and they went on to lose bigly. I think were are going to see a lot more Javonte Williams than Gordon.

The Houston Texans have released running back Phillip Lindsay. Texans cutting running back Phillip Lindsay, according to a league source— Aaron Wilson (@AaronWilson_NFL) November 23, 2021 The...

Phillip Lindsay. He is a carbon copy of Ekeler, he's an inside slasher, like Ek. Two 1,000 yard seasons, back-to-back. Sign Lindsay for the playoff run, he can spot Ekeler and is a superb insurance policy for Ekeler.

Contract: Lindsay’s contract with Houston has a base salary of $2.25 million, a signing bonus of $500,000 and a roster bonus of $343,750. That gives him a 2021 salary cap hit of $3,093,750, according to Spotrac.com.
