No one on this board even qualifies to even put that to the test so....move on.

I'm the one who started this poll, but if Lombo continues to run the offense he's run the past two games, I'll willingly change my vote to "no." I just hope he doesn't forget that it's the long and mid range passes that open up the short pass game and our ground attack...

Scapegoating Lombardi about the deep ball does Not match up with the breakdown in this video clip.

Who has it better than us?

It is probably worth noting that Storm Norton's play has started to improve dramatically after the first 7 games. (the stats aren't posted vs NY yet).

Now, it is not like I am saying he is playing that well. He's not. We are talking a relative improvement. Awful to bad to below average is still an improvement.

He was a big liability for the most part early in the season (minus Cleveland and Washington). Since Philly, he has been an almost average type of player, with some flashes of average in there. Since Philly (5 games), he has allowed only 6 pressures, where he was allowed 23 in the first 7 games (remember he played pretty well vs Cleveland in that early stretch too).

Currently, there are only 6 teams (Bucs, ‘Boys, Colts, Bills, Bengals, Cards) who are averaging more points per game than the Bolts.

So you are saying it's just not as simple as deciding to throw it deep?

            Hmm, unimaginable :blahblah:

The funniest thing about this entire thread is that there was always ZERO chance that Lombardi was going to be fired.

So you are saying that the odds of Lombardi getting fired are equivalent to Chaincrusher getting hired for the job, should Lombardi be dismissed?

Yep its just TopCat over reacting with one of his polls.

Well, on the bright side, at least it allowed us to vent...during that rough patch before Lombo finally started dialing up the long game more...it also validated a lot of our comments...

Venting is fine. And everyone has an opinion about how good or bad they think his scheme and play calling are. But he is Staley's hand-picked guy who he is comfortable with and no matter how bad we did or do on offense for the foreseeable future, he isn't going anywhere.

We were winning before that happened and had some long passes. They just werent to Guyton.

The offense has gotten better as everybody is more comfortable with it and then expanding the playbook........as many of us said it would happen.

The defense has slowly got better though it would be nice to see K9 getting better though it is a pleasant surprise to see Kyzir and Tranq take a big step up.

KC will be a huge test since they are playing much better.
