If the plan is to let Williams and Cook walk after the season, drafting Palmer and McKitty make sense for the future. Were there other players who, in hindsight, could have helped us this year? Sure, just like multiple picks from every team every year. I have not heard any rumors that TT is on the hot seat other than from a few vocal posters here. I still think that drafting Slater and Herbert along with hiring Staley gives him at least another year - if not more.

Good point. McKitty and Rountree especially...we could have had EITHER Quinn Meinerz or Elijah Molden instead of McKitty...should have been re-loading on O-line and CB instead of those two picks...

I don’t think this will happen at 6-5. Spanos and co waited until the end of the season to fire Lynn. And that was a circus compare to this.

Lombardi did not call a great game, but he was definitely limited in what he could do. Denver had the same issues - the difference is there D is much better than ours.

There's a LOT of adjustments Lombo could have made:

            1. He could have dialed up more Herbie rollouts to buy more time
            2. He could have used Ekkie or TE's more for pass pro, or at least chipping
            3. With those extra seconds, he could have dialed up Guyton or Mike Will down the sideline on that go route...
            4. Do all of the above and you force Fangio's zone D to cover deep and/or play more man to man D...This opens up the ground game and short pass game more...

I miss the crossing routes that expose zone coverage

Yep...most of Lombo's calls are either short sideline routes or stick routes...very predictable...

I think Denver's defense is too quick for QB roll-outs to succeed. And against our slowish WR's doesn't that give a good ball-hawking secondary more time to get into ideal position for the INT?

Titans ran for around 250 yards with 2 RBs going over 100 each and lost. Guess they should of threw more.

Didn't help that we threw a INT in the EZ and another pick 6 that killed us. Though we were in trouble before that one. He had 3 others INTs that were dropped by the defense.

Just not s good day for Herbert.

We need OL,DL and CBs bad.
