    My Christmas wishes don't work
Here's the one for the New Year : Rams win
If it doesn't happen, it will be all in the hands of PIT

Don’t we also need a Miami loss?

ironic for the Chargers to be depending on the rams again.

Good thing the Rams will have something to play for with Green Bay playing the Sunday night game, the Rams are still in contention for the 1 seed

I've been saying this over and over in the Other Games thread. There are only four things that need to happen for the Chargers to make the playoffs, and all of them are very likely IMO.

            1. Chargers beat the Broncos next week and the Raiders in Week 18.

            2. The Rams beat the Ravens next week.

            3. The Dolphins lose just one of their final three games against @Saints Mon nite, @Titans next week or v. the Titans in Week 18. They only need to lose one of these three games.

I see this as a very plausible and likely scenario.

Almost. If both MIA and BAL win out, then it becomes very unlikely, but not quite impossible for us to make it.

The scenarios involve two of IND, BUF, NE and CIN losing out. IND has games against LV and JAC. NE has games against JAC and MIA. BUF has games against ATL and NYJ. So that does not look promising. CIN actually could lose both games as they have to play KC and CLE.

And if BAL wins out, but MIA loses at least one game, then absent two losses by one of IND, BUF, NE or CIN, we do not make the playoffs.

If MIA wins all three games it has yet to play, but BAL loses at least one game, then we need IND, BUF or NE to lose out, which, as noted above is very unlikely, though not impossible. MIA plays against NO, TEN and NE. In this scenario the NFCN is no longer relevant because there will be no wildcard from the NFCN as only the Bengals could finish with a 10-7 or better record if we assume that BAL loses one of its games.

But, if we win out and BAL and MIA both lose at least one game, we make the playoffs.

And, if both BAL and MIA lose at least two more games, there are scenarios in which we can still get in with a 9-8 record. BAL has games against LAR and PIT and MIA plays NO, TEN and NE, so multiple losses by both teams, while not the most likely result, is far from impossible.

A PIT win over BAL also works to get the BAL loss.

They also need to win to hold off ARI in the NFCW race.

this team was in the driver's seat. now it seems that when they are in the driver's seat they shit the bed and then need to win out and need other teams to lose...in which case they dont hold up their end. They are not ruled out but it is hard having faith in this team to take care of their own business when it comes down to crunch time. I really hope they go on a run.

Chargers need a Miami loos - and luckily TN still has something to play for (possible bye week if KC loses or the division) - but maybe the Saints win tonight too
