I hope they play Bosa more in a closer traditional DE alignment tonight. It seems they put him too often in that wide 9 position standing up where he’s a mile away, practically like he’s coming off a corner blitz. It doesn’t suit him. I rarely see him getting to the QB from out there.
Bosa needs to be with a hand on the ground, right over the tackle, where he can smell his breath and sense his fear. He can use his great bend and quick steps from up close to get around the tackle much more effectively, while still having the bullrush option in his arsenal. When he’s too far away all that is lost and he just runs right at the tackle waiting on him.
I know they run a 3-4 but you have to use your best front 7 player where he plays best.
