Oh good, another one of these threads. Never understood the point of these since they have zero bearing on what will happen and everyone already knows how posters feel about TT since it's mentioned in every single thread multiple times.

Who was the last coach with a winning record we fired? Marty who? How did that work out. Now for those who what to fire Staley, who is it you want to hire to replace him? Last would that person want to work for an owner who runs his franchise like a fan?
Don't mention the risk to the development of our great young players... Who will be on the their second third or more different offence or defence... Just no...Go Rivers!

It's not gonna happen this off-season. Sorry, but it's just not.
He hit on Herbert, Slater, and Linsley while rebuilding the OL.
Made big strides in fixing the Special Teams with in-season acquisitions of K and KR.
He's put together a roster full of pro bowlers and alternates.
Now he'll re-tool the defense in Free Agency and the draft.
The cap is healthy, future draft picks are in hand, players are improving, the team is winning.
Telesco is a better GM than Gettleman, and basically the same if not better than Steve Keim, who drafted Josh Rosen before taking Murray the next year.
There are no former GM's interviewing for the Giants or Bears. First year GM's have a combined record this year of 33-68, all losing records.
If you really don't want TT having final say in drafting and FA, then wait till Staley is settled in and then demand he be given personnel authority as head coach, if he's worthy/when he's ready.

Should he be fired? Yes.
Will he? Doubt it. Look how long it took for Dean to can AJ & Norv.
Will we be aggressive in free agency with as much money as we have to spend? No.
Will we be able to fill all the holes we need to fill with draft picks? No.
So will anything change significantly next year? No. But we can always pretend it will.

After the first round he has sucked..... very much so..... most good teams find other starters, and great backups, after the first round.....TT has found few if any.... which is why our depth has sucked for years......

The biggest problem that TT has (which is the same problem as the Broncos and Raiders) is playing in the same division as the Chiefs for as long as Andy Reid has been in KC. That isn't an excuse for him, but it's like being the GM of the Bills, Dolphins or Jets during the Brady/Bellichick Patriots years.

def don't want Staley calling the shots on draft day or in FA.... needs to be separation of church and state there.... too many franchises have been derailed by superstar coaches making personnel decisions for the organization.
personnel decisions go thru John Spanos.... wondering who had the largest say in the hiring of Staley, Lynn and McCoy ?? am doubtful as to how much Tom was able to weigh in on things ??
think one of the largest vulnerabilities for the team as it stands now, is that I don't think Staley's persona is sustainable over the longterm.... rapid fire, propped up authoritative tone of voice, and not sure he is really connecting w/some of the players, and despite that he makes such a big deal out of relationships.
speaking for myself, this team didn't meet the expectations eye had for this season, and wondering what my and other fan's expectations might be going forward ?? last I checked, was thinking SB for next season.
if we don't make any noise in the playoffs next season, do think Telesco's seat will be warming up, and would suspect that his goodwill could finally be wearing out, and his buddy John Spanos, might have to act in the best (financial) interest of the team ??
if the reports are true, that Dean intends to seek out a buyer in 2024, that means he has two seasons to show for himself, which pretty much dictates that he needs a good HC & GM to garner a best offer.... @least me thinx as much ??RT Taliese Fuaga, DT Jer'Zhan Newton, NT T'Vondre Sweat, LB Cedric Gray, TE Ben Sinnott, RB Daijun Edwards, FS Cole Bishop, QB Joe Milton
