Why would the team release the 7th leading receiver in the league?

20 million reasons. Second half of this season season I don't think KA did much and I'm also questioning his motivation to perform after next year.

On this subject I was thinking. With Lombardi as our OC and Michael Thomas in NO disgruntled and the saints cap situation would it make sense to trade to Thomas since we have the cap space? Looking at his contract we would likely be able to cut him or renegotiate his deal next year. Assuming we keep Williams our top wide receivers would be Allen, Thomas, Williams, Palmer, Guyton to start the season and that's not a bad active game day group, may be better than any in the NFL and Thomas is younger than Adams. Since he has a huge cap # and has not been Favored by his coach GM the last two years I can see I conditional pick next year and a 3rd this year for him...

          Thoughts?

Hope yer right! We do have cap money for a couple of splash signings. I sure would like to see a solid run-stuffing DT, a cover corner, a decent Edge and a solid RT...then, there's the draft...

Thanks for this excellent poll idea, Powdah!

A trade would require he pass a physical. We would be protected and the injury history will lower the asking price

I agree. It's tiresome. It would be ok if it was generalized to the Chargers' organization, as this team makes group personnel decisions.

I'm beyond that. I say we get the state of california to put him in a psyche ward for mental insanity for a year until he resigns!

Actually, this thread was a request by PowdahBlueBoy in another thread...and, if I don't mind saying so, an excellent request...both threads very distinct from each other...
