No rookies should be on a list as whipping boys til after a few years. Kelly isn't even a whipping boy but he sure has a lot to prove. Just don't think he has THE NFL goods.

You also left off MW who many here loved to chastise til he got more opportunities and showed he is a good WR and can do more than go deep and do jump balls. Many wanted to trade him before last season.
I suppose we should divide the Whipping Boy list into the "productive" and "not so productive" list. MW is at least productive. He did have some injury issues early on, which led to him being an "injury-plagued" whipping boy. I suppose some people would also list Palmer as a whipping boy, but I thought he had a pretty decent rook year...

I'd just whittle that list of yours down something fierce. Got bored and stopped after highlighting the cream of the crop.

I'm not feeling it about most on this list: King & Ellison need to be taken off immediately!!

Ellison ???? a 6th round draft pick with bad knees who started on a 13 - 3 team?
Mouton Never even saw the field - not good enough to be a bust: more of the poster child for bad AJ Smith draft picks the 2nd half of his time here
        Big Lazy
Fluke whatever incentive towards placing Fluke on this list fades away by reason of that one magic moment and his first year
        Teo meh
        AttOUCHu had some decent production....injuries
        Mager
Tuerk never got on the field.....injuries

King What???? an important contributor to a playoff run.....injuries took hold
Tevi A 6th rounder who started for 3 seasons and was their best olineman his last year....pass

Only one poster had a dislike for Palmer and of course that poster was wrong.

Only one be team wins the SB. Every other team has guys that underperform. Fans want their team to wait n it all, so they want better players, like the team that beat them. I don’t see calling out guys and routing for my team as antithetical. Some players are great, some have short arms and narrow hips.

This is a solid starting roster. Experienced, quality everywhere, only 1 rookie, a top 1st rounder. Time to win some games.

I listed King because he in large part caused his own demise, relegation to the doghouse and trade for a pick because of those ill-advised tweets/criticism of coaching decisions...I listed Ellison because after he got drafted, he tried to hold out in camp for more $$$...whoever heard of a 6TH ROUNDER holding out? There was considerable "whipping boy" talk going on at the time with both these two...BTW, I forgot to list...

                          King was critical of the coaching staff for not playing him;

Ellison, with his bad knees, had so many years left.
