Man, the Bengals are even worse than us when it comes to acquiring OL to protect their QB. The amount of draft picks used on OL and having it blow up in their faces is staggering.

      Thoughts on the Bengals win:

Hard to imagine the Titans getting to the SB with Tannehill. Might have a top 5 roster 2 through 53 but they do not have a top 20 QB, and that might be an understatement.
Won't be surprised if they draft a QB.

Thought the Bengals did a poor job of play calling. Could have avoided most of those sacks and had more positive plays with more short passes and screens. Should have used Chase more in a Deebo Samuel role as well. The Titans corners couldn't tackle him on on one. Could have dumped the ball of to Mixon on some of them as well to at least save sacks.
It should have been clear from the git go the O Line was overmatched and they weren't going to be able to throw deep.

What a great pick drafting their kicker in the 5th. If there was one rated as high coming out this year I would take him in the 4th, (maybe even the 3rd)?
If punting is almost as important as kicking then I'm on board with Araiza in the 4th.

Our scheme--the one TT likes so much is "modern."

        It's marvelous.
We do not play modern football.

Reminder: they are in the championship game. Everybody who said they needed to take Penei instead of Chase was wrong

Great, we have that to feel good about for the next 9 months. Oh yeah, but we’re modern

Or maybe instead of using all FA capital and #1 pick on OL, they shouldn’t have ignored DL, LB and kept some of the key guys we let go

Sometimes you get lucky. Also the problem isn’t drafting an OT. Drafting Sewell wouldn’t have kept their IOL from being blown up by the Titans DL.

Easy to say after the fact!!! There is no one way to do it. Guys have to make plays when there is a play to be made. We struggle to do that.

Bengals definitely got lucky given how hard they tried to give both games away.

Penei is doing fine with the Lions... what do you mean? they could've use his help this time.. and besides... Bengals won because Tannehill and their OC sucks...
