Getting rid of Keenan Allen and signing Christian Kirk - ehh, not so much
Signing Mike Williams and bringing in Adams at the expense of Allen - that might be an upgrade
Its when you let a player leave and not upgrade is the issue. I think most observers around the NFL would think Adams + Williams is a fine combo at WR
That said, I agree, Adams will not be a Charger in all likelihood

Yeah, I can envision this happening. Obviously, Keenan has more good seasons behind him than he does ahead of him at this point.
That said, guys like Larry Fitzgerald, A.J. Greene and Julio Jones remained super productive long after they had physically passed their peaks. They worked tirelessly, and were ultra-competitors. Keenan may prove to be that kind of wideout, as well.
I love Allen's game but he has very little margin to give in terms of speed.

May limit other options in free agency this year - because this is the Chargers and not the Saints
But they can afford him

This is the point in the offseason where it gets weird.
People are trying to out bafoon each other, soon we will be having posters saying we should trade Herbert for the next ten years of 7th round draft picks. We should trade all our high round picks and stockpile 7th round picks and so on. Or trade KA for a 5th round pick.
I get the frustration but do not double down on stupid because you are frustrated.

Love Davante Adams, but we to spend our salary cap on defense. On offense, all I'm looking for is a right tackle, and a right guard. Even if we let MW go his way in FA, I still like our receivers.

If we lose MW , WR becomes an issue. Likely drafting one early.
Tough to pin point things til after FA',cy. It's going to be one of the most important free agencys for us in a long time because we have many holes and need to get Staley's type of guys and the draft won't fill them all.11 Brock Bowers TE - Georgia (plus AZ 2025 1st)
