Odd, that the Chargers had a better record vs teams that made the playoffs than they did vs teams that did not make the playoffs.

Is there that much parity in the NFL, or do the Chargers play down to their opponents?

Good teams beat up on the weak teams. Next year we’ve got the Texans, Jags, Falcons, Dolphins, and Seahawks. We need to beat up on those teams. You go 5-0 there and 6-6 the rest of the way, you’re and 11-6 team and easily in the playoffs.

that's what we thought this year after going 4-1 and then into the easy part of the schedule. We go 5-7 after that with a loss to a TERRIBLE team and other teams we should've (easily) beat? I can hope we do what you say. I'd be OK with that.

Two of the non playoff team losses - the Ravens and Vikings - both of them were 8-win teams who the Chargers caught right when they were playing their best. The Ravens were in a five-win streak when the Chargers went to Baltimore; injuries decimated the team later in the season. When the Chargers played Minn the Vikes were at their high point, they beat the Packers the following week. Both teams faded down the stretch.
