don't quite follow that logic.... ??

Khalil Mack was on his team's injury report every game in 2020, and ended up sitting out half of 2021.... I think that qualifies as an injury concern.

and how many games was Mike Dub wheeled out there @less than 100 percent ?? warrior, yes.... health concern.... prolly yes as well, no ??

At the time of his new contract with the 49ers, Jimmy G was the highest paid QB in the league. By the end of his deal, JCJ might not be in the top 20 for cornerbacks.

There are 32 teams all vying for the same prize every year. You don’t win it all by staying conservative. Hell, taking Justin Herbert was a very risky pick that the vast majority of this board decried at the time it happened.

We’ve seen the results of 9 years of TT being conservative. I support the course correction and the all-in approach we’re going for. We’ve got Herbert on a rookie deal. Let’s see what we can do with this three year window.
props to TT for JH.... very well done, and I was one of those guys w/mixed feelings @best re: drafting the Herb man.

and yes again.... great get and a value signing on top of that for Jackson.

and, it's about the salary cap.... you go out and spend $ 14m for MW and another $17m somethin' for K. Mack and pretty soon you are without depth @RB, TE, and most other positions as well.

it doesn't work all the time, if fact it doesn't work most of the time in FA.

he could pull it off, but the fact remains is that he is putting bad money after bad draft capital, just compensating for overdrafting Nwosu and MW @7 overall.

am hoping he pulls it off like everyone else, and.... the post above is pretty much a duly noted placeholder, similar to when everyone is sky high after a draft pick, only later to Tillery/Fluker on us.

time will tell, and.... don't like Tommy T.'s odds on getting extended.... hopefully they promote him to Football Ops, and.... you're only as good as your record says you are.

.500 is as .500 does.... he is an avg GM, and by all accounts.... a stellar human being.
