I’m good with adding Everett, but I’m not sure about the dollar amount. That said, it wouldn’t shock me if there’s a reality where Everett is leaving for huge money in a couple years and we’re saying thanks for two great years and the memories but we can’t afford to pay him the money he’s due.

choosing TE in the draft - I think would be a long shot now - maybe a comp 7th
don't forget they have kampoyer who was on the PS last year - it could be between he and Nabers for a spot on the 53 man roster

IMO, this signing means the Chargers don't *have to* look to the draft for a tight end, and probably won't draft one, unless someone they have high regard for drops into Day 3.
This signing is an asset to the goal of helping the Bolts' offense move the chains. AND run up a time of possession advantage over the opponent.
Looks like a solid strategic move, to me.
