Everett has potential but never got enough targets. Don't be surprised if he produces with Herbert.
Welcome Gerald Everett TE

Cook was a better player, but has started to slip due to age. He can still flash some ability, but it's only going to get worse with age. Too bad.
Everrett is a solid player, but nothing very special. He will do until McKitty or Parham develops into an inline Te and can be regular players. Both are on their way to being every-down players, but neither has made it yet. Both are solid blockers, but both need work as downfield receivers, and route running. Anderson would be nice to have too.

This signing is an asset to the goal of helping the Bolts' offense move the chains. AND run up a time of possession advantage over the opponent.
Looks like a solid strategic move, to me.

:20 Yes!
Chargers need to have this flanker sweep as a red zone or two point attempt. Everett is a very solid option on intermediate routes. I'll still feel alot better when Stephen Alexander and Donald Parham are both back and on the field. That said, I'll take the Chargers 13 personnel group over anybody's in the division.

Nabers is still on the roster, but Anderson can replace him, as Anderson played a lot of H-back in the second half of the season.
