agreed, and also now knowing Murray played on bum ankles last year I think they are done at ILB

Murray's recovery likely longer it seems (to me).

With all the late round picks the Chargers have, if there is an ILB on the board in the 6th/7th round, don't be surprised if they draft him.

I'm a big stat guy, but stats tell the story of the plays a player made but not the plays a player failed to make.

Reeder was a UDFA signed by the Rams out of Delaware in 2019 and he was good enough to make the roster. He was a special teamer, but also made some starts at LB. Staley must like him. I've read on this board that Staley's defensive scheme doesn't require stars at ILB, so maybe Reeder fits a role. Reeder is 27, 6-1, 235 lbs and ran a 4.63 40 (respectable). His father is Dan Reeder, who played briefly for the Steelers as a RB in the '80s, after being drafted by the Raiders then cut.

Not a surprise and a solid addition to the LB room at a good price. May end up with the most snaps at ILB this season if Murray is still, well, whatever’s going on with him.
