Provided those players who would help at areas of need don't demand too much money, more money than the front office is able to afford.

I'm thinking that JJ3 and Floyd may be ready to accept a reasonable contract by now. Now may be the right time to try to add them to our team.

Per Over the Cap, Chargers are basically $11m of cap space if you include the top 53

Practice Squad will be $2m
In season Fund will be 3.-4m$

So that leaves around $5 of net cap space. So maybe they can get a guy like Floyd for 4m. Not sure JJ3 would take 2.5 - but if he did - they would be able to get both players for the net $5m of cap (since they will be replacing two players making the league minimum in the top 53)

I've been looking at the Dallas 2021 offense FWIW, not sure.
but I feel comfortable and confident with all our skill guys.

Any cap we have left is best invested on defense
or veteran OL.

Feels weird not to have anything to complain about rn.

I know this was about Spiller and totally agree about defense but I see Jaimes at depth for the OL and think of a guy like Risner. Granted no team has signed him so its just not the Chargers but could Risner be any worse than Jaimes. Or a guy like Pat Elflein.

Those are the two signings we need to be in good shape depth wise for next year!

Lot's of unknowns there.
maybe we can scour for a veteran with a modest ceiling to replace a Jaimes or Clapp.
I realize Clapp is that exact veteran I'm describing but he was also brought in with a background in the Lombo/saints system.
so maybe we can find the Moore version of him somewhere.

I don’t love a depth chart that has Jaimes on it, I won’t get too bent on it and not sure he even makes the far end of the bench this year but i agree with B4K. Jaimes is not an NFL player

Ok I was looking at the "Media Day" pictures and something stood out to me. Spillers lack of definition. He should be shredded. I hope Im wrong but come camp he better be getting cut up. See Austin Ekeler....

I'm not all that high on Clapp and Jaimes, but maybe the Bolts see some upside with them...Sarell has potential--I'd give him one more year to show some improvement...

That has stood out to me day one.He doesnt physically look like an nfl caliber athlete. Hope he took this offseason very serious.
