I'm in awe of his play today considering all he was up against. It might be one of the best QB games of all time.
Is that the best you've ever seen of Rivers?

Really odd how Rivers gets little respect outside of SD. I think he is easily top five but some still rank Wilson and Luck ahead of him and he frequently gets left out of the conversation when they talk about QBs.11 Brock Bowers TE - Georgia
35 Kris Jenkins DT - Michigan
37 Cooper Beebe OG -Kansas st
66 Mike Sainristil CB - Michigan
69 Jaylen Wright RB - Tenn or Blake Corum - Michigan
100 Brenden Rice WR - USC (trade ⬆️w/ Wash for 2025 5th)
110 Cedric Gray LB - N. Carolina
140 Hunter Nourzad OC -Penn st
181 Cedrick Johnson Edge - Mississippi
225 Josh Procter S-Ohio st ➡️ 253 Dwight McGlothern CB -Ar

The problem with the Chargers right now is that with the mess we have due to injuries, Rivers has to play nearly flawlessly for us to win. He has no margin for error. The defense never bails him out and he is always trying to mount a comeback. Our return games are horrible (31st in the league) and we are always in really bad field position. We can't run. It's all on his shoulders.

The 2nd down play as well, where he chose a double covered Gates as opposed to a wide open Woodhead.
There always seems to be one or two plays a game where Philip DOESN'T make a play that could make the difference. Obviously, without all the other plays he makes, we'd never be in a position to win anyways.
Tough loss.

The Woodhead play at the goal line. I just watched that thing over and over and it's hard to tell if it's Rivers fault. The DB appears not to commit until Rivers starts his throwing motion. It's probably safe to assume the DB was reading Philip all the way and probably would've broke for Woodhead if the throw went over there.
