Fills a need - depth at Edge. Now, we hope Rumph takes a step up but just in case - this guy has some experience.

I thought Van Noy was going to be a Charger draft pick in 2014. But the Lions picked him at #40, ten spots before the Chargers picked. We got Jeremiah Attaochu at #50 instead. I’d welcome Van Noy on the Chargers. I’ve always liked him.

My exact thoughts.Get a vet RT after Van Noy and we should be really solid goin into this season.

I don't think Van Noy can sign with us based on the NFL rulebook that states "no team shall have more than ONE BYU Cougar on their team at any one time." And since we already have Davis, he can't sign. Wait, what? That's not in the rule book? Damn. Well...it should be.

Gotta love what they are trying to do. VanNoy is one of the smartest and best coverage backers in the game. Would be a big upgrade over Reeder and dare I say an upgrade over Tranq and Murray, unless a healthy Murray breaks out this season.

we do have three great WRs, you guys are sleeping on Palmer, the kid is a stud and he runs better routes already than some seasoned guys out there. Palmer could easily be a 100 a season catch guy if he’s called upon and they expand his role. The deal with folks that don’t appreciate our receivers is that they don’t all run 4.3 40s but I don’t see people catching MW from behind on his long passes and guyton has done a splendid job with the long ball as well including that gorgeous pass last year that traveled like 65 yards in the air. Herbert loves the kid, and if guyton is good enough for herbert then he should be good enough for every charger fan too.

Ekeler is the 3rd most productive receiver for the Chargers and is NFL #4 in YAC. We're not hurting for a WR. We have several good or better prospects led by Palmer & Guyton, plus some decent TEs.

I'd like to sign Van Noy but ideally we'd also sign another EDGE-3. We could really use a pure pass rusher to rotate in with Bosa and Mack.

But, the comment today says that he profiles as a starter with the Chargers......Khalil Mack will be coming off the bench????
