Just putting opposing offenses in the position of having to account for Derwin at the L.O.S. is an advantage. Used judiciously, IMO Derwin could be a 5-7 sacks per year guy, with numerous pressures and hits on the QB.

That said, I think Adderly and Woods are FS types who would constitute a duplication of services.

Imo there's significant differences between the two.

Addy can actually tackle and play in the box
Woods is a faster, skinny version of Addy who is just a coverage guy with ball skills at this point.

I agree that we likely will see Derwin more at the LOS (either to pressure and/or drop back in coverage) more this season as part of our defensive scheme. Likely also why we are loading up on defensive backs.

But we also need EDGE adept at pass rush + run defense.
