Flowers is trying. He's out there playing hurt. If he didn't care about winning, he wouldn't be getting those penalties. It takes effort to bump the receiver.

I agree. I really don't get all the Flowers hate on this board. The other teams players are NFL caliber too and no corner is going to defend every pass.

What is with people hating on Franklin? Are you really saying that he's not injured? You really know the severity of the injury and whether he should or should not be playing? High ankle sprains are difficult and take time to heal. Chill. No evidence the guy is just here to cash a paycheck.

Cincy gave up 3 TD's

Minnesota DNP - Injured

Cleveland 0 TD's but made piss poor effort on a tackle that lead to long gain

Pittsburgh 1 TD Long game changing TD

Green Bay 1 TD Reciever pushed off, but Flowers got away with two calls of PI that weren't called


Raider week I assume Verrett will be on Cooper and Flowers on Crabtree. If Crabtree makes noise and scores on Flowers the verdict is in. Richard Sherman called Crabtree sorry an average receiver at best. San Francisco let him go and outside of Boldin their receiver cast is not strong so what does that say about Crabtree, well it will say even more about Flowers if he struggles with him.

I don't understand it either. Christ the guy got rolled up on and is injured. Earlier in the game he recovered a fumble only to have the defenders jump on the pile and knock it loose and they got the football, but I remember him showing emotion by getting up and signaling Chargers ball. He was very adamant about it too.

Don't pair Flowers with a sorry receiver like Crabtree.

So the secondary should never give up TD's? Given the rules in today's game, that's an impossible task. The rules make the pass rush that much more important and thus far we haven't had a pass rush. Last year Shareece Wright was the defensive whipping boy, this year it appears to be Flowers...next year everyone will turn on Verrett.
