    2022 Schedule Thoughts

    280410729_382856137219053_261656468957678589_n.jpeg
Given that we'll be on the road in Week 2 for a Thursday matchup against the Chiefs, we're probably going to get a home game in week 1. We won't play the Chiefs twice in a row and can't play the Rams because they'll be hosting the season opener, so we'll be playing one of the Broncos, Raiders, Jaguars, Seahawks, Titans or Dolphins to kick things off.

Personally, I want the Seahawks Week 1. They should be one of the worst teams in the league with their current QB room consisting of Locke, Geno Smith and Jacob Eason. An opener against the Raiders or Broncos would be more fun, but the possibility of starting out 0-2 against two division rivals is daunting (although I think we have the best team in the division).

In reality, we probably end up playing the Broncos or Raiders. The Raiders may be the most likely since the Broncos make sense as the Rams' opponent in the season opener. We may even be the Sunday night game week 1.

I voted Jags. Eliminate the trap games early and rack up the W's.

              I think Jags or Seahawks

Rams will be hosting the Thursday night game
Sunday night, I thought for sure it would be Broncos v Chiefs - but with the Chiefs playing thursday - hard to see two straight TV games

I doubt they put the Chargers on SNF - either

And if its Chargers v Raiders or Broncos - wasting a big time game -unless its the second of a double header
titans play at Buffalo the next week so not sure they start them with two games on the road

I am going with Jags or seahawks

Raiders or Broncos. Want to start the season off with an AFC West win. Don't care which one, hate them equally.

I want Bosa and Mack to make a buncha thin sandwiches with crushed carr meat in the middle. by the end of the game he's cowering in the corner not wanting to come out to the field and letting his backup go in for him instead.

When have we ever had the home opener against the Raiders? I've never seen a Chargers home opener against the Raiders in my lifetime.

The only times we had the Broncos for a home opener were 2003, 1972, and 1965. The 2003 game was supposed to be the Chargers in their white jersey, but the Broncos brought their white uniform and the Chargers had to be in the navy jersey. Later that year the Broncos were forced by the league to wear white at home against the Chargers in the second meeting, Chargers got the uniform choice for the second game as compensation, and the Chargers wore the navy jersey in Denver's place.

We had the Seahawks in the home opener in 2014 and many other times when they were in the AFC West.

I had a dream where I saw the LA Lakers in their white uniform. Then I saw the Charlotte Hornets in their teal uniform. I think we have the Jaguars in the home opener in week 1. The Lakers are symbolic for the Chargers, and the Hornets are symbolic for the Jaguars. The Chargers had the Jaguars for a home opener in 2016 and 2010. In this dream I also saw the Denver Nuggets in their 1990s uniform. I think the Broncos will wear their alternate navy uniform against us this year.
