Jacoby Jones can go to the inactive list and bring up Javontee Herndon.

For me how much lead way you give a veteran? As a veteran up in age in the 30 range there is only really just one position I know where you don't see significant drop off and that is QB and in some case they improve.

30 + and maintain are interior OL centers and guards, DT- normally just maintain strength, ILB
30 + positions that don't maintain or significantly go down PR/KR, RB, DE, OLB, and CB. These positions normally when you loose a step it is bad, really bad, there are exceptions to the rule of course but the majority fall in this category where 30 + isn't good

I have no idea what is wrong with Jones. He looks slow and indecisive. Is that because his ankle is not close to 100% and he is tentative because of it? I guess with so many other players beat up but tryign to gut it out I can see why he is trying to play. But for God's sake - cut Brown and bring up Herndon is that is the case.

Amen! If it is because he isn't 100% he shouldn't be out there, but as others have pointed out his decision making is bad also. I think it may be the case where Jacoby knows he lost a step, but he doesn't want nobody else to know so he is trying hard to make a play to show everybody he can make a play, but man the more he plays the more you can see he has lost a step the tape don't lie.

He killed us in Raven game last year. I'm hoping it's the ankle not healed yet.
