Doesn’t really have the physical profile to play OT. Luckily he played all over the OL in college.

This forum does that with every player who isn't meeting up to their expectations. Some people need to lower their standards, because their standards are too high.

We have no idea why coaches didn’t put Jaimes in. We did see him play in preseason, and though it was admittedly against scrubs soon to be on the street, he looked promising. Nobody remembers that? TPB sure did talk about his PS play … I’d say lets see his soph year in camp before TPB cuts him.

the funniest part is when his defenders note he’s only a 5th rounder and don’t worry - Salyer is definitely better. Uh, what round was Salyer taken in? How many NFL snaps have we seen?

beats me - maybe they’re right. Lol …

Salyer ranked a lot higher than Jaimes, especially in pass pro:

Every preseason players get talked up. Stick was a hot conversation in preseason a couple years ago. Preseason is cool but means little. The starters hardly play except for the 3rd game and its vanilla offenses and defenses out there and when the backups and rookies and UDFAs are in, you are watching players that may make the team or PS or headed to the USFL.

Hopefully Jaimes makes strides this season after pretty much being a redshirt. I still have hopes for Joe Reed being able to have a role with this team.

                  Its called developing.

College ball is the minor leagues and then you develope into a professional. Or not.

Weird how some develop, like, in a single TC, and others take an undisclosed number of years. Hoping Jaimes is somewhere in between, really hoping Salyer is the steal some are saying he is (and Jaimes needing a decade to develop becomes moot lol).

I hope Salyer becomes a steal as well but im expecting little from him this season. Its not like he was a first round talent that we got in the 6th. He was ranked anywhere from a 2nd to a 4th for which imo 2nd was too high. Hopefully he doesnt need to play this year.

Weird how the round a player is picked seems to correlate with their developmental time.
