Everyone is expecting the Chargers to come out and be world beaters this year, I do too! The time has come now for the Chargers once and for all to be 1 of the Elite teams in the league!

Because it will be very embarrassing to come out this year and get beat by the Raiders on opening day, and then the Chiefs all because we can't stop the run, or our Oline can't block and Herbert has to rush all his throws because he is not getting dominating oline play!

I read somewhere either here, bleacher report, or something, that snap-to-kick time in camp is way down, below league avg, and he was getting hang time of 5.0 seconds.

They say you want to get punts off in 2.6 seconds or less. I heard we are now consistently between 1.8 and 2.1 seconds.

Watching us punt last year was miserable. Not only do you not want to be punting (means the offense failed to convert a third down), but it felt like we were always on the verge of being blocked.

I’m nervous about Hopkins. Sounds like he’s missing a lot of kicks. We don’t need him to be Justin Tucker. Just need him to be consistent inside of 40 yards and then decent from beyond 40.

He has been for the most part reliable for the Chargers. But let's not forget Ron Rivera decided to release him mid-season last year, and go with younger talent, because he was missing kicks.

I like the emphasis the Bolts have shown this year on 3rd down plays, red zone and two minute drills. Focus where the money is. I think they ignored it a little in the past, especially red zone plays.

From camp reports, seems the extra practice is warranted.

I don’t necessarily see what you or anyone just did as a problem as long as we bring it back to how it relates to the Chargers and we don’t derail the thread too much with other teams players. I mean I just Tweeted about Trevor Penning in another post. So I’m just as guilty. But yes, let’s move on.

He’s been pretty accurate with anything under 50. So I’m not too worried yet.
