All key contributors to their playoff appearance
I do like some of TTs recent work.

I cannot fault Lombardi for this gameplan. He had the answers to KC blitzes but didnt have the horses. MDub goin out removed his answer to zero blitz and KC exploited it. He showed creative routes and formations that led to 2 TD's. I saw repeat attempts at long bombs like the Palmer TD but Herb throws checkdown. Players need to execute the whole game like they do the opening drive.

For heavens sake, they are 5 and 5 and sinking after all of TT's nimble work this offseason, and the boatload of cash he spent.

That is along the lines of the surgery being a great success, but unfortunately the patient died....no?

If they brought in all that 'talent', what does it tell you about the position they were in to start the offseason and the type of roster Telesco assembled up to that point?

For heaven's sake, they've been without WR1 and WR2 for most/good portions of the season. They've been without Edge1, CB1, and OT1 for almost the whole season.
Linsley, Palmer, Everett have all missed games, too. Did you expect to be 7-3 or 8-2 with Bandy, Storm, Fehoko, Richard Rogers, Clapp, and Jason Moore starting....?

You're about to tell me, "but every team has starters out". But not every team has multiple starters out multiple games. If you can identify the team, you can also see their record is much worse than 5-5. Once starters start coming back... you'll see.

The only real concern for me is the run defense. Austin Johnson and Covington will not be back by playoffs. And the LB's are not playing their run assignments well. Adderly is an atrrocious tackler. Certain players are Gusly Guys and need to acclimate to Staley's defense. Tranquill and Adderly are free agents at season's end... we need better replacements for them via draft or FA.

No, just that on defense, once a single player (Bosa) was out, they sucked.
Perfectly healthy, they are a middling defense.

And then the year before that, they were without Brandon Staley's guys.
They had all the health in the world, particularly during the crash and burn against Las Vegas that last game.

And then during Lynn's last year, they were just a few points away in so many games: easily could have gone 11 - 5
And then all the injuries of 2019......

Once the starters are back, a few more will cash out.

I do also...but...SOME is the operational word here...Slater and Zion were pretty much can't miss...Salyer a nice steal...ASJ and Palmer paying dividends...but...not so impressed with JT Woods, McKitty and K9...
