Hope my heart is right and my brain is wrong.
Agreed that it’s a loss with no Herbert, but I’m optimistic Clapp/Norton can step in and do a passable job. Replacing offensive lineman in game always looks worse than doing so with a week of preparation. If there’s one thing Lombardi knows how to do, it’s how to devise a game plan built around quick passes and dump offs to the RBs.

This game has me very nervous. And the shifting lines don’t help. But that’s probably more due to so much money coming in on the Jags than anything. I’d love to see us take care of business and get a healthy lead so we can have the starters get some rest in the fourth quarter.

Amazing what a QB injury does to a line. Opened at 10.5 and then went down to 7, down to 3, and now back up to 3.5 - that is a lot of movement!

Maybe I read it but don't recall. If by playing, and getting hit again in the same manner, can it make the injury worse? And on the other side of the coin, will it get better with rest? I do remember some QB just wearing flak jackets and playing the whole season with banged up ribs, but I kinda thought the consensus was the injury would not get worse, and would not heal during the short time of the season. Could have been Fouts.

A few are saying we lose if Herbert sits. Dallas won with a backup last week. Supposedly our defense it much better. We can win with good defense and average offense.

Apparently thats the issue, the injury itself is not likely to worsen if hit, at worst it will slower an already slow healing process. I understand that it's more a matter of pain tolerance/discomfort than risk of further injury.

When is someone Old? When is it old age? We live in a world that can't accept not being young anymore. People will still call a 80 or 90 yard old young.
A friend of mine once told me "old is ten years more than whatever age you are". I was 71 then and I liked the idea so I've been going by that ever since. Today, 97 is old but come next July, 98 will be old since I'll be 88. This way of looking at it also helps to keep peace with the wife (unless you married a woman 10 years older than you.) : )

Jags getting to much credit for beating Indy like they do every year at home. Thats probably the biggest factor along with Herberts injury. Had they lost to whoever, it wouldnt move as much.

HAHAHA! what a JOKE of a game. This team...I have no idea what their coaches do. Watching Pederson coach and call plays is night and day compared to the dolts coaching staff. Same ole dolts playing down to their competition. and storm 'fuckin suckin' norton needs to NOT be on a team! well at least the queefs lost. but at the rate this team is playing they're gonna play for a high pick. hopefully they go get a WR who can stretch the field and get rid of an OC who cant seem to dial shit up, except shit plays. seems he draws up plays but nothing to SCHEME open any guys.

Someone scored 10. I was somewhat right.
