So you don’t think our run defense has improved at all? This will be the test
Our run defense is better than last year, because of the 2 new DT's and Mack, but losing Bosa hurts run defense also.... but JAX showed that if you run wide or do dump offs to RB's or receivers, some of our other defenders still struggle to make tackles.... we are not great at stuffing the run, but we are not worst in NFL like last year.....
Dreading this game and had it as a loss months ago.
This is the prototypical team we struggle with - potent rushing game, competent defense, and adequate QB.
I think Hunt and Chubb go off for 100 each.
Our best run D is our offense. If Herb is 100%, Keenan is healthy and the playcalling is decent, we can make them play from behind.
Obviously we have to keep our foot on the gas offensively and do not allow chunk plays on D. It's doable.
Tough matchup - for both teams.
We need our best ball-control offense for this game. Run plays, dink & dunk, don't care as long as we eat up the clock and then score. We need to keep their defense tired and their running backs on the sideline. Coaches, earn your keep!
Browns running game is terrific. Chubb is just unstoppable and not just agains the Chargers. The saving grace is Stefanski continues to mystify with his play calling and keeps emphasizing the passing game at critical/odd times.
Also the Browns are underachievers. No way they should lose to the Jets and Falcons.
Clowney should be close to coming back but he had a groin issue so who knows. Garrett had a pretty decent car accident and his shoulder is messed up (sprained). Not sure if he will play or if he does how that impacts him
