I think that Slater could be at the top of this list in a few years but he doesn't make my list in just one year.

    Ron Mix-T
He's in the NFL HOF He could play just as well at G or T
    Doug Wilkerson-G
Great pass blocker and run blocker
    Russ Washington-T
"Big REW" - Good feet, real long arms, it was impossible to get by him.
    Corey Lindsley-C
I'm including him although most of his career was in GB
    Ed White-G
    Did everything well
    Courtney Hall-C
The anchor of the only OL that made it to the SB.
    Kris Dielman-G
He's another that did everything well and he was mean.
    Walt Sweeney-G
    Fierce run blocker
    Stan Brock-T
Steady Stan. He was always good.
    Don Macek-C
Long time C but played G as a rookie - dependable.
    Billy Shields-T
Billy was awkward as a rookie but he sure learned fast.
    THE YEAR OF THE FLIP!

Pretty much the same with honorable mention to Nick Hardwick who was consistent and dependable. The Coryell years had a great OL.

fun fact, my roommate in rehab was Walt Sweeney. He developed a prescription pill addiction that started when he played

in reverse chronological order I’ll add center nick hardwick to my list so…

          9 nick hardwick
          10 rashawn slater

i’m still working on my list and like I said it’ll evolve before I settle on the final order by ranking…

I meant to add Kris dielman too…

            8 kris dielman
            9 nick hardwick
            10 rashawn slater

as the list evolves some guys might end up outside the top ten…

Good list Chargeroo. I'd like to add Don Rodgers Center to my list. Not because he was one of the best known but because he's my friend. Him and his wife Dee are still family friends. He was the center on the 1963 AFL championship team. We used to kid him that he would just "hike" (what it was called before snap) the ball and roll forward. haha.

Going back in reverse chronological order before nick hardwick and kris dielman our best lineman for a few years was the undersized RT Vaughn Parker, he makes my honorable mention list…before I skip further back I’m going to add Marcus McNeil to the honorable list too…

I like Roo's list. Its quite telling how ignored the OL has been in the draft in this current century, that the only two since 2000 were Dielman (UDFA) and Linsley (UFA). I have to agree that McNeill and Hardwick are Honorable Mention.

I’m adding mike goff to honorable mention, he gave us five solid years after coming over from cincy (?)

This attitude with de-prioritizing O-line in the draft goes back to bobby beathard era, while he was in washington they had successfully developed low draft picks and undrafted players into super bowl winners. Ironically they also fleeced us for jim lachey so go figure…I think dean bought in to bobby’s theories because offensive line salaries began to go up after 1993:cuss:

A guy I will place on the honorable mention list is a guy who’s career was devastated by injury but I thought he was one of our best linemen for the short time he started, was a starter for only 4 1/2 seasons…eric moten, he coulda been a contender, the guy was kris dielman before kris dielman, he was nasty…he was our starting left guard during the superbowl…
