Instead of first and 10 from the 45, it should have been first and 20 from the 15....which changes the dynamics by a lot.
Time suddenly becomes important.
One announcer mentioned the push off during the broadcast.
The Sofi turf looks fantatic!

Florio and Simms diatribe on the NFL for allowing artificial turf, calling out the NFL for its hypocrisy for proclaiming it is going to make the sport safer and that will trickle down to college and high school. There's an epidemic of turf-caused injuries at the high school level, where fields are predominantly turf. Then they called out Kroenke, and the fact that NFL stadiums are going to host FIFA World Cup Soccer in 2026, and those that have turf are going to be required to grow grass, including SoFi, because FIFA requires it. Soccer players won't play on turf. I looked into this, and apparently it's true, they are going to attempt grow grass at SoFi and even domed NFL stadiums to accommodate World Cup Soccer, but the league won't require owners to protect its own players.
World soccer's governing body has hired a University of Tennessee professor to lead research on a subject that's much more complicated than it looks on TV.

Bosa (groin), Keenan (hamstring) and JC Jackson (ruptured patellar tendon) all suffered their injuries on SoFi's turf. I don't know if the turf could be responsible for any of these injuries. Parham's concussion in 2021 against the Chiefs happened when the back of his head bounced off the turf. One of the complaints about turf is that the surface is harder, less forgiving than a grass field. So I can't say that turf is responsible for what happened to Parham. But here are four impactful injuries that Chargers players have suffered in games on SoFi's turf.
